Ironclads 2: Boshin War

The Boshin War was a civil war in Japan that took place from 1868 to 1869 between the Tokugawa bakufu and pro-imperial forces. An alliance of southern samurai (Chōshū and Satsuma domains) secured control of the imperial court. The Tokugawa house launched a military campaign to capture the imperial court in Kyoto, but was defeated at the Battle of Toba–Fushimi. The forces loyal to the bakufu attempted to regroup at Osaka Castle.
