A planet in the distant future. A stone flying through space, which is no longer what it once was. Without human intervention, nature adapts to new conditions, takes back what was once taken from it. Striving for perfection, it began to intertwine with abandoned technologies, biomechanical creatures.

Left unattended, human technology also changed, adapting to the new world. Soon, a close symbiosis developed between technology and nature. In the world of Inner Chains, it became difficult to determine where mechanics ends and life begins.

After several million years of biomechanical evolution, humanity once again became an important part of the ecosystem. However, people were unable to reach their former heights of development. The human race, having forgotten its history, could no longer control or even comprehend powerful technologies. The inhabitants of the Inner Chains world accepted this situation as a given and focused on using the planet’s resources for their own benefit. But one thing had not changed one iota over the past millennia: people were still ruled by such social phenomena as faith, power, suppression and manipulation. This led to the emergence of various castes and, as a result, the supremacy of one of the groups. She was the first to encounter the mechanisms, learn how to use them, and put them to her service. The rest had to submit.

You are one of the inhabitants of this world, and your head is filled with the teachings of the Ruling Caste. Your only goal is to reach the legendary place, which in the tales was called the Last Hope, and leave this ruined and dying planet once and for all.
