Like Celeste, Nuclear Blaze also offers a subtle difficulty setting, allowing players to tweak some of the rules to suit their needs. There is no easy or hard mode, but the default settings can be considered quite difficult.

It’s perfectly okay to make your gaming experience easy, after all, it’s a hobby, not a punishment, so feel free to change the in-game difficulty settings to your liking.

My original intention was to create a game that my three-year-old son could play: he is a big fan of firefighters. Obviously, the game became more and more complex and quickly became too difficult for him. So I decided to add a special “Kids Mode.”

Kids Mode is a special mode in the game designed for younger players and has certain rules:

• Special levels that are easy to explore
• It is impossible to die
• Infinite water
• Auto-aim water
• Simplified controls
• Helicopters and trucks everywhere, because kids love them!
