What was supposed to be a pleasant winter hike with friends in Mount Washington National Park turns into a terrifying adventure. You are left alone to fight for your survival. With only a few supplies, you must contend with the cold, thirst, hunger, the wild, and your own mental state, all while finding your way to an abandoned ranger station in hopes of calling for help.

Winter Survival is a full-fledged survival game in Early Access, featuring dynamic combat, stealth, base building, and a unique sanity system to name a few. Multiple game modes and difficulty levels allow you to experience the game in new ways and tailor it to your liking.

Travel through snowy forests, mountains, and frozen lakes. Battle treacherous terrain, deadly animals, and harsh winter conditions. Find shelter, cook some food, and rest, preparing to face the next day. Hopefully, not the last…

You are not the first person to visit this place. There were many before you. Over a century ago, some of them even lived here. If you explore the area, you may find things they left behind that will be useful to you too. Explore different places and learn their history, such as cities built by people long gone. Break down doors, avoid traps, and make abandoned structures work again. Find personal belongings and delve deeper into the city’s past. Will you be able to uncover its secrets?

Cold, thirst, hunger and physical and mental exhaustion are the five main factors you need to worry about. However, it doesn’t end there. Injuries and illnesses are the next factors, as well as weather. Spending the night in the cold without any shelter is akin to a death sentence, and trying to go outside in a snowstorm is no better either. Don’t forget, the weather in the mountains changes quickly and unpredictably.

Adding even more variety is our Event System, where random events can unexpectedly save your day or make your nightmare worse. The situation doesn’t have to be so grim or stay that way all the time. The Adaptation System allows you to unlock new Survival Skills and enhance your Abilities. And then there’s our unique Sanity System, which makes things really interesting…

The most insidious enemy in the wasteland is the mind. In Winter Survival, you’ll be immersed in a ruthless world where it’s hard to distinguish reality from madness thanks to the unique SanitySystem.

In fact, your mind becomes a problem long before hunger. It all starts with symptoms of fatigue, loss of will to continue fighting, all the way to mirages and even full-blown hallucinations. Fear and the stress that comes with it form another layer that can affect your perception, and together these factors create a very interesting and unique survival experience. .

Hunt or Be the Hunted. Use the environment to your advantage. Observe your prey, study its behavior, make and set traps to catch animals. Craft torchesto scare off wolves. Craft spearsto throw at prey and defend yourself from the apex predators that surround the area.

Given the limited resources, think twice before starting a fight. The bear is a powerful predator, and fighting it with a knife or even a spear is not the best idea. Perhaps avoiding danger or sneaking past a potential encounter is a wiser choice, given the circumstances?

Gather resources, learn how to craft all sorts of useful items, and build shelters and other structuresto avoid everyday combat .

Some resources are easy to find, some are only available in certain areas, others must be obtained through hunting, and some are left behind by those who came before you.

The advanced crafting system ranges from simple fires to cook food, to building entire shelters and defenses anywhere. It is a crafting and building systemthat will allow you to slowly transition from unbearable danger to a more manageable environment – if you prepare properly.
