Remember: profit is king, the rules don’t apply if you’re a winner, and only losers feel miserable because of the pain, loss, and poverty that are an unfortunate but inevitable byproduct of the critical and important work we do here.
It’s simple: your job is to make money for FERIOS. Buy stocks that go up, sell them before they go down. Short the ones that go down (or the ones you make go down). The more money you make, the bigger your commissions. And you want those commissions, right? Don’t worry, the rewards are endless if you’re greedy enough.
If you’re really smart, you’ll find ways to influence the market to your advantage. Think you can lobby a powerful group to influence the market? Do it. Got an opportunity to buy a controlling stake to move the needle? Take it. Crash a foreign currency to increase the margins of companies importing their products? Why not? The only consequences that matter are the ones that affect our bottom line.
Every Joe Schmo has access to the regular news. If you want to stay ahead of the ups and downs, you’ll need to find information from more, shall we say, “exclusive” sources. And definitely don’t let rumors of a financial investigation throw you off. No FERIOS employee has ever been found guilty!
