Digitplaystore acts as the data controller in relation to the personal data of Users. The collection and processing of personal data are conducted in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

Personal data is processed by Digitplaystore for the purposes outlined in these Terms & Conditions, including but not limited to: (i) the performance of contractual obligations, (ii) handling user inquiries and complaints, and (iii) marketing Digitplaystore’s own products and services. Such processing is lawful under Article 6(1)(b) of the UK GDPR, as it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the User is party, and under Article 6(1)(f), as it is necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by Digitplaystore, namely, the promotion and improvement of its services.

Where personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, Digitplaystore ensures the implementation of appropriate safeguards, including the use of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, to protect the data in accordance with applicable legal standards.

Personal data will be retained for a period of six (6) years from the date of the User’s last interaction or data update, unless a longer retention period is required by law or justified by a legitimate interest.

Users have the right, at any time, to request access to their personal data, to seek its rectification or erasure, to restrict or object to its processing, and to exercise their right to data portability in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. Users also retain the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority if they believe their rights have been infringed.

The provision of personal data is voluntary. However, failure to provide such data may result in the inability of Digitplaystore to perform its contractual obligations or provide services for the stated purposes.

Digitplaystore may process certain usage data, including purchase history, product interests, spending behavior, and frequency of transactions, to analyze User preferences and behavior. This information may be used to develop individual User profiles in order to deliver personalized marketing communications, provided the User has given prior consent to receive such materials. These communications may include information about offers, promotions, or services tailored to the User’s interests.

It is expressly stated that Digitplaystore does not engage in automated decision-making processes that produce legal effects or similarly significant consequences for Users, as defined under the UK GDPR.
